East 2nd Street Parking Garage – Des Moines Iowa

Mid-American Glazing Systems just wrapped up the East 2nd St. parking garage project in Des Moines.  The overlapping glass facade is attached using R1006 rotules and custom brackets back to a steel support I-beam.  By layering the glass the wall allows for adequate ventilation while blocking the elements.  A custom frit pattern on the glass creates a unique look at night taking what is normally an ordinary structure and making it extraordinary.
